All users need to do to avail of this is go to their Android devices’ Settings app, go to Google, and press the All Services tab. After that, the Devices and Sharing tab will lead users to Cross Devices services.
This setup will include creating device groups by enabling such preferences on the devices signed into the same account. Any other device accounts would be noted.
Cross-device services are up for grabs on Android 11 and more advanced models. Meanwhile, call casting will shift calls from one device to another one nearby when you sign into your Google Account. For now, it’s up for grabs on Google Meet and there’s a tab that features the Cast Icon that moves videos from the Android device to another phone, tablet, and browser.
Meanwhile, other features like Internet sharing and instant hotspots will give rise to hotspot access between the various devices and Chromebooks without password-based entry. Here, both Bluetooth and local are enabled.
Another toggle feature lets users disable or enable the features and lets them see devices when notes, like Added or Not Added, are visible.
We are seeing this rollout on a wider scale as early as now but you need to have the latest 24.35.30 version for Google Play activated through Pixel and Samsung Galaxy phones.
It might be a little bit of a waiting game but Google mentioned how the masses will be getting the latest cross-device offerings soon when they get launched.
